PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP) announced on 31 October 2007 that its net sales for nine month 2007 has increased by 15% – up from Rp 2.4 trillion in 2006 to Rp 2.7 trillion. Gross profit jumped by an impressive 17% from Rp 884 billion to Rp 1,031 billion while operating income rose by 6% from Rp 155 billion to Rp 165 billion. Net profit also surged from Rp 73 billion to Rp 80 billion – representing an increase of 10% over the corresponding period.

MAP operates over 600 retail stores in 22 major cities of Indonesia with a total retail footage of over 300,000 sqm. Exclusive retail concepts under the group include SEIBU, SOGO, Debenhams, ZARA, Marks & Spencer, Massimo Dutti, NEXT, Topshop/Topman, Starbucks, Burger King, The Athlete’s Foot, among many others. Apart from retailing, MAP is also a major distributor of over 70 international brands including Wilson, Mizuno, Greg Norman, Spalding, Converse and Speedo.

Over the past 10 months in 2007, MAP has launched many new retail concepts including SEIBU, Chloe, Loewe, Emporio Armani and Burger King. Come December, it will launch HABITAT (the famous home furnishing retail chain from UK) and Giorgio Armani in Grand Indonesia.
